E-commerce has accustomed us to deliveries within a few days\u2014sometimes even on the same day. But where do these demands for speed actually come from, and what are their consequences for environmental sustainability? This lecture presents findings from a multi-year research project on time-related demands in e-commerce. By highlighting the perspectives of consumers, online retailers, and carriers, the talk discusses why speed has become the norm and how the industry can create more sustainable delivery solutions without compromising customer value.<\/p>\n\n
