The Schur®Star Concept
The Schur®Star Concept offers an efficient packing process, safe product processing, and bag constructions giving superior marketing opportunities. Change-over between varieties, bag sizes, or bag constructions requires only a few minutes; there are no set-up times, the system is easily integrated into an existing process, and filling can be fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual. With the Schur®Star Concept, you have a total solution with optimal flexibility and reduced complexity – in other words the widest possible range of options in terms of packaging design and product processing. The Schur®Star Concept consists of the Schur®Star Packaging Machine and premade Schur®Star Bags that are linked together on a string to ensure a smooth packing process. Changeover between different bag constructions and sizes is done quickly and simple. Likewise effortless is change-over between manual, semi- or fully automatic filling – dependent on type and complexity of the products.
Schur®Star Packaging Machine

Schur®StarLight Machine
The Schur®StarLight is a compact, flexible packaging solution designed for businesses with smaller production runs or limited space. Schur®Star Paper Bag
The Schur®Star Paper Bag is designed specifically for automated filling, combining the visual appeal of paper with the operational reliability required in industrial packaging. Unlike many paper-based solutions that are limited to manual or low-speed packing, this format runs on the Schur®Star system with consistent opening, stable bag handling and precise filling. The bag structure is engineered to maintain shape and stiffness during the entire packing process, supporting smooth infeed, controlled filling and reliable sealing. This makes it suitable for a wide range of finished products, including dry foods and non-food items, while ensuring a clean and presentable retail appearance. One of its key advantages is flexibility in production. The Schur®Star Paper Bag can be run on the same machine platform as standard film-based bags, allowing producers to switch between materials quickly without additional tooling or complex changeovers. New Schur®Star Shape bag with zipper and standup feature for construction sand, made for kids to play. Product difficult to fill, but not on the for Schur®Star System. The design and its distinctive shape has contributed to a very successful product introduction.
Schur®Star Concept for multi-packs
Multipack jobs can be of very different nature - involving few units, or a considerable number of items. The adaptable filling line of the Schur®Star gives the packer extreme flexibility. And with up to 10 filling stations it is possible to pack each item from an individual station. At the filling point, the bag opens to its full width. This gives the operatot both hands free to place the items accurately in the bag, an advantage when the items are of irregular shape or differing sizes. Systematisation of the packing process prevents interruptions of and errors in the flow. It reduces downtime, and ultimately it results in improved productivity.
Schur®Star Flavour Bag

The T-shirt bag is often applied for sportive events, this example was produced for a Swiss company, on occasion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Schur®Star StandUp Bag
It takes more than appealing colours and an inviting design to present a product to its full on the supermarket shelves. Among the jobs that the pack has to fulfill is the best possible presentation. Whenever possible, the pack should offer the consumer convenience features. Schur®Star Systems supplies the best in stand-up bags, also known as stand-up pouches. With the excellent barrier properties of the applied laminate material, the bag offers optimal storage of its contents.
