Pallet labels are used to identify and track pallets throughout the entire logistics chain. Clear pallet labelling streamlines warehousing, transport and receiving while reducing the risk of errors and ensuring full traceability.
The most common standard is SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) according to GS1, where each pallet is assigned a unique identification number represented in a GS1-128 barcode. The label can also include information such as GTIN, batch number, product information, sender, recipient and delivery details.
